The simplest part of setting up my Wix account was deciding on the aesthetics of the page. This tends to be the most fun portion of my Wix experience. Because I’ve used Wix for another class in a previous semester, I already have most of the design and layout tactics mastered. The most difficult part of setting up the Wix page this time was deciding what elements needed to go and which needed to stay. For example, certain course work that may no longer be relevant or assignments that weren’t my best work were deleted, whereas unique paper topics and assignments which earned the highest grades for writing stayed.

I’m definitely excited about my current online presence, but I know there’s room for creative and professional improvement. My hope for this page is to generate more material that will attract a more professional audience. I’d like to curate artifacts that draw attention to my communication and creative strengths instead of just collecting random material and posting it in hopes of garnering the correct response from my viewers. I want to make sure that what is posted on my page serves a purpose and isn’t there simply taking up space. Also, my resume needs to be updated or completely redone altogether. Fortunately, I don’t have any questions about the portfolio at this time. I feel I know the basics of what is needed and hopefully as the semester continues, my page will improve and grow.
